NARS Celebrates Its 17th Anniversary
  On April 26, 2024, National Assembly Research Service (Chief Park Sang-Chul) held a commemorative ceremony joined by Speaker Kim Jin-pyo, People Power Party Representative Yun Jaeok, Jin Sunmee (The Minjoo Party), Lee Yangsoo (People Power Party) and distinguished guests to celebrate its 17th anniversary.

  In his remarks, speaker Kim Jin-pyo said, “solutions produced by NARS to national challenges have influence on legislation and policymaking. . . . The National Assembly ought to have sense of duty and persevere in tackling major national-level current issues preemptively and actively.”

  Chief Park Sang-Chul pledged that NARS will continue to uphold the value of political impartiality and its professionalism, which leads to better legislation. He also promised that “NARS will not rely on its past achievements but rather do its best to make the National Assembly a competent legislative body that gets its job done.”

  Sim Sangjung (Green Justice Party), Lee Yangsoo and Jang Donghyuk (People Power Party), as well as Min Hyungbae, Jin Sunmee, and Hong Sung Kook (The Minjoo Party) were recognized as excellent national assembly members for the quality and quantity of their bill proposals and research requests, and thus each was awarded a certificate of merit by Speaker Kim Jin-pyo.
